The Sylvan Lake Gulls took full advantage of home Monday night and kicked the Lethbridge Bulls 13 to 4 in game one of their Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) semi-final.
Pitcher, Josh Tucker went seven innings with 11 strikeouts and 4 earned runs.
Every batter on the Gulls lineup would hit at least once, with second baseman Cleary Simpson hitting 4-4 at the plate with 2 runs and an RBI.
Tyler McWillie would get his first homerun of the season to send home Nick Groves in the bottom of the first to kick off the Gulls offence.
The announced attendance of 2075 (a Gulls stadium record crowd) braved a little bit of rain to watch the home team win game one.
