The Town of Penhold has announced a by-election to fill a vacant seat on Town Council from former Councillor Mike Walsh’s resignation. Nomination Day was Wednesday August 9 and five (5) Penhold residents have put their names forward as candidates.

The five candidates in Penhold’s By-Election are:  

  • Rob Burton
  • Mike Dodman
  • Cameron Galisky
  • Samantha Miller
  • Brandon Pringle

Important Dates: Wednesday, August 23, 2023 Candidate Forum 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Penhold & District Library Wednesday, September 6, 2023 By-Election Day Polls open 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Penhold Regional Multiplex.

“I, along with Council encourage all eligible residents to participate in the democratic process by researching and speaking with candidates, and casting their ballots,” said Mayor Mike Yargeau. “By taking part in the by-election, residents can continue to contribute to making our community a great place to grow, by electing representatives they want to see serve on Council.”
