The Town of Ponoka has long list of activities happening this Family Day on February 21st.

“We look forward to another wonderful Family Day celebration. We hope Mother Nature will be on our side this year and it should be an enjoyable event for all families to attend,” said Ponoka Mayor, Kevin Ferguson.

Here’s a look at what’s going on:

Skating, Hot Chocolate and Bonfire Downtown

Come to the Downtown Skating Plaza at 5510 – 48 Avenue where there will be skating all day on the oval rink, with other family activities including a bonfire and a hot chocolate stand from 2 – 4 p.m. Activities will move indoors to the Ponoka Arena Complex if necessary due to weather.

Free Swim at the Aquaplex

The Family Day fun will also continue at the Ponoka Aquaplex with a free ‘Everyone Welcome’ swim from 1:30-3:30 p.m. and 4 – 6 p.m.

Food Bank Donations

To help support the Ponoka Food Bank, the Town of Ponoka will be collecting donations as a form of admission to participate in Family Day activities at the Downtown Skating Plaza and Ponoka Aquaplex.
