The Town of Ponoka has announced new COVID-19 restrictions and closures of public facilities after the Government of Alberta has provided new restrictions earlier this week.  

Closures

The Ponoka Arena and Curling Complex

Town Office at the Ponoka Civic Centre

  • Business can be conducted by phone, email, fax, and online. You can call the town office at 403-783-4431, email them at town @ponoka.ca, or reach them by fax at 403-783-6745.
  • Citizens are encouraged to make bill payments online through their bank, by mail, by credit card using the online credit card payment slip available at www.Ponoka.ca or by calling the town office at 403-783-4431. Late payment penalties will be waived until December 31st.

Outdoor Rink

  • 10 person limit
  • Open from 10 AM to 10 PM
  • Change room located at the northeast corner of the Arena is closed to the public

Aqua Plex

  • Swimming lessons, Junior Lifeguard Club, and Aquafit classes are cancelled
  • Lane swim, Public Swim, and Family are is still being offered with an occupancy limit of 20 people

 

The Santa Claus Parade remains cancelled due to gathering restrictions. A virtual tree lighting ceremony and will be livestreamed to the towns Facebook Page on December 4th at 5:30 PM.

Closures include the Ponoka Arena and Curling Complex, and Town Office at the Ponoka Civic Centre. Business can be conducted by phone, email, fax, and online.  Late penalties on utility bills will be waived until December 31st.
