It looks like it's going to be a great Canada here in Central Alberta with lots of events for the whole family.

Here's a breakdown by community:

BLACKFALDS

The Town of Blackfalds is hosting a celebration from 12 noon.

-Cupcakes, tattoos, in the Civic Centre parking lot

-A dog walk to follow at 1 (Dogs must be leashed and not aggressive)

PONOKA

Apart from the many activities with the Ponoka Stampede, the Town of Ponoka has partnered  with  the  Ponoka  Stampede  Association  to  host  a  Canada  Day  fireworks  display  starting at approximately 10:45 p.m.

-The fireworks will be staged at the  Ponoka  Stampede  grounds, 

-Citizens  can  also  view  the  fireworks  from  the  Ponoka  Legion  (3911  AB-2A)  and  Ponoka  Arena  Complex (4410 54 Street) parking lots

INNISFAIL

Canada celebrations will be moved to the twin arenas due to the amount of standing water at Centennial Park.

-Activities include: A family activity section, face painting, bouncy castles, dance performances, food trucks.

-Live musical performances starting at 5

-Fireworks after dusk

SYLVAN LAKE

Celebrations mainly along Lakeshore Drive from 11 am

-Activities include: Live music by the beach, jugglers and stilt walkers, Rotary Kids Zone, color guard march (at The Legion), flag raising ceremony, cake, farmer's market, 

-Fireworks at 10 pm along the lake front

ROCKY MOUNTAIN HOUSE

Celebrations to happen mainly at The Rocky Mountain House National Historic Site

-Activities include: A pancake breakfast (at the museum), cultural performances, food vendors, live music, family events

-fireworks at 11:30 at The North Saskatchewan River Park

STETTLER

Celebrations mainly at The Stettler Museum starting at 9 am

-Activities include: Pancake breakfast (from 9-11, $5 per person), bubble soccer, obstacle courses, face painting, free hot dogs, cupcakes, live music

-fireworks at dusk at The West Stettler Park Gazebo
