Coming up on Monday, January 16th, The County of Lacombe Lifelong Learning Association (CLLLA) is presenting an employment Expo.

This event is an opportunity to showcase your business and to recruit future employees within the local area.

It runs from 2pm-7pm at The Lacombe Memorial Centre.

Dani Ducross, Executive Director of the County of Lacombe's Lifelong Learning Association, says it will be a great event for everyone. “We are just hoping to connect local employers with local job seekers as well as provide employment support services on site if they need it. There will be a couple of different groups that will be providing assistance with doing resumes, cover letters, interview skills and all that.”

Some of Central Alberta’s biggest employers will also be on hand including:

ASC, Hannah’s Seeds, Olymel, Best Western, Viking Projects, RDP, Eagle builders and more.

Ducross explains how the event came about. “We were trying to find a new kind of fun event to run in Lacombe that would be useful and I was chatting with the employment center here and we were brainstorming ideas and we just decided hey, let's try an employment Expo.”

At the expo there will be tables set up for people to fill out applications. It is recommended that you bring a resume, cover letter and to dress professionally.
