UPDATE

Wetaskiwin/ Camrose RCMP and Emergency crews are on site a multi vehicle accident at Highway 21 and Range Road 220 north of Hay Lakes.  A semi truck hit another semi truck that had slowed down.  Both trucks caught fire. One semi truck driver was transported to hospital with serious injuries. RCMP are asking the public to avoid the area and find and alternate route from the area.

RCMP members advised that the highway will remain closed until the RCMP collision analyst has completed their investigation. The anticipated time of reopening is 6:00 p.m..

RCMP will update with more information as it comes in and or when the road reopens.
