It was a exciting kick-off to Ecole Lacombe Upper Elementary School's Family Literacy Project as Sunny 94's Adam Hamilton along with Sunny himself joined in on the festivities!

Sunny got things rolling as he drove up the kids crazy with his ever-expanding repetoire of dance moves!

Adam and ELUES principal Sonja Dykslag were the MCs for the annual event which challenges each student to read with their family every night for two months in order to bring reading back to evening routine at home.

To help out, each child received a free copy of this year's book, The Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davies.  To celebrate the book's summer setting, the school enjoyed a beach party dressed in their best gear as well as a lemonade taste testing competition between the sales and service crews from Lacombe Ford, and a readthrough of the first chapter of the book from Lacombe Ford's Murray Fuhrer and Councillor Don Gullekson from the City Of Lacombe.

Everyone had a great time and the school is very thankful for the support of this project by Lacombe Ford, Lacombe FCSS, the City of Lacombe, Lacombe Kinsmen, Lacombe Legion, Lacombe School Council and Sunny 94.

Thanks for having us at this awesome event!
