The City of Red Deer celebrated the hard work of staff through the annual Employee Recognition Awards virtually this year. The awards celebrate long-term service employees and offers recognition for others who have excelled in innovation, environmental stewardship and exceptional growth.

The most anticipated award is the Bob Stollings Memorial Award which was established by City Council in 1985 in honour of Robert E. Stollings. Stollings was a dedicated City employee from 1960 to 1984. Those who receive the award demonstrate outstanding civic performance in alignment with City values and are nominated by a fellow coworker.

This years’ Bob Stollings Memorial Award has recognized the hard work of Char Rausch. Rausch is a Coporate Events Specialist that has had several roles with the City in more than 35 years of service.

“Those who know Char, know the passion, commitment to excellence, and complete care she puts into everything she does,” says Tracy Bruce, Human Resources Manager. “More than 35 years of service, Char has lived our corporate values and we are happy to celebrate her accomplishments by presenting her with the Bob Stollings Award.”
