It’s time to find that lost mitten as snow is on the way for many parts of Alberta.

In central Alberta, we can expect things to start getting windy this afternoon (January 26) with gusts reaching up to 80 km/h.

Into the evening we can expect snow mixed with rain after midnight. Environment Canada is anticipating around 2 centimeters of snow overnight.

On Friday morning (January 27), flurries will continue with another 2 centimeters of snow anticipated. The flurries may continue into the night with some cooler weather than we’ve been experiencing so far this January in the -20°C range.
