CARES Pet of the Week

Sunny 94 has partnered with Central Alberta Rescue Effort Shelter (C.A.R.E.S) to bring you Pet of the Week! Each Wednesday we feature a new, super friendly, totally adoptable dog or cat. We’ll tell you a bit about them in hopes you’ll go to CARES, meet them, fall in love, and take them home with you!

This is Sunny!

Hello, I'm Sunny! I was found wandering the streets of Lacombe by one of the convenience stores. No one can say for certain whether I wound up there on my own or if someone dropped me off. You could say I'm pretty special because I was picked up by CARES on New Years Eve!

Unfortunately, because it was so cold outside when I was out there, my ears got really frostbitten. There's a possibility I might lose the tips of my ears... but don't worry, my hearing remains uneffected!

I'm a really friendly guy! In fact, hardly anything spooks me! Other cats, dogs, new people... I want to be friends with them all! I love to rub all over people, it's how I show affection. I would prefer to stay indoors as the outside wasn't very kind to me. I'm an active cat who loves to explore and play with you and is totally up for curling into your lap and cuddling. I'm also more than okay with being held! You could say I'm the "purr-fect" family cat with lots of life left in me since I'm only a little more than a year old!
