Hi, my name is Tabs!

Hello, I’m Tabs! I’m a Chihuahua that weighs only 3ish pounds… so I’m a very small dog! No one knows for sure what my age is but the best guess so far is 5 or 6 years old! Since I’m not a puppy anymore, this is as big as I’m going to get. I was surrendered by my owner because they couldn’t afford the dental work that I needed. The wonderful ladies at CARES got me all fixed up and I still have most of my teeth!

I’m one of the quietest dogs you may ever meet. I rarely ever bark and if I do it’s definitely not intimidating! I’m also incredibly patient – if young kids poke me and smother me in love I won’t get aggressive, I’ll just sit there and take it! In moderation, of course. I LOVE being held, it’s one of my favorite things to do. I would do really well in a small home where there are less things for me to get into and I won’t feel so tiny. What would really suit my personality is a nice quiet, family setting where there are plenty of cuddles and doggy treats to go around!

I’m all caught up on all my vaccinations including kennel cough and rabies. I’m also neutered and microchipped. Even if I’m not your type of pooch, there are so many other dogs and cats just like me at CARES of all different personalities and types who need a new forever home! I would LOVE to meet you!
