Sunny 94 has partnered with Central Alberta Rescue Effort Shelter (C.A.R.E.S) to bring you Pet of the Week! Each Wednesday we feature a new, super friendly, totally adoptable dog or cat. We’ll tell you a bit about them in hopes you’ll go to CARES, meet them, fall in love, and take them home with you!

My name is Albany!

Don’t let me size fool you, I have a big heart! I know it sounds cliché but I promise it’s true! I’m a 4 year old female Yorkshire Terrier. I only weigh 9 pounds so I don’t need a very big place to live in! I’m a pretty quiet dog – I don’t bark very much which is a good thing especially if you live in an apartment with neighbors living so close by!

As far as my personality goes I haven’t had much opportunity to show it yet! Sometimes things are scary so I tend to be more on the shy side. But I’m sure once you and I get to know each other better I’ll be okay! The breed rescue organization I was surrendered by say I would do well in a home without other dominant female dogs. Bring your children to meet me before you take me home so we can make sure everyone gets along!

I just got spayed – so no surprise puppies in the future! I want you to see just how fun and playful I can be once I get past my shy stage! All I ask from you is some patience and a whole lot of love! Come to CARES and meet me! Click HERE for more information.
