Over 1300 fans crowded the Eagle Builders Centre Friday night to watch game one between The Blackfalds Bulldogs and The Drumheller Dragons. Unfortunately it would be the Dragons heading back home with an 8-5 win.

Blackfalds would outshoot their opponent 42-26 but it was the special teams that let them down. The Bulldogs went 0 for 2 on the powerplay while The Dragons were 3 for 5.

Drumheller went up 2-0 after the first period, scored four more goals in the second, and then put it away in the third with a couple more. Scoring for The Bulldogs was Tyler Teasdale, Connor Dick, Brendan Ross, Tyler Wallace and Jason Siedem.

Blackfalds has a chance to even up the series tonight as they are back at home. Game time is 6:00 pm at The Eagle Builders Centre.
