ACAC awards handed out to RDP athletes

Thursday night at the ACAC Men's and Women's Soccer Championships Banquet in Lethbridge, the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings and Queens took home some prestigious awards.

First-year striker Sein Furuyama was awarded the ACAC South Player and Rookie of the Year Award. She would be named to the ACAC South Division All-Conference team.

Also, from the Queens, midfielders' Estel and Sofia Quinteros were named to the All-Conference Team.

Lastly for the Queens, Head Coach Mazhiar Peyrow was named the ACAC South Coach of the Year.

For the Kings, goalkeeper Jared St. Thomas, midfielder Ajdin Sarcevic and striker Eduardo Crespo were named to the men's All-Conference South Division Team.
