Earth Day is happening on Saturday, April 22nd and there are a few events we can look forward to locally.
Earth Day at the Mary C. Moore Public Library
10-11am Kid’s Earth Day Actvities with Miss Mary (ages 3-5)
10-12pm Seed Starting Workshop with Carol Spencer including info and hands-on experience ($5 for Individual, $10 for family)
10-4pm Lacombe and District Garden Club Seed Library Launch
1-4PM Earth Day Crafts and Activities for Families

Earth Day at St. Cyprian’s Anglican Church in Lacombe
St. Cyprian Anglican Church will be hosting a few community members who will be talking about the call to environmental action.
That’s happening on Saturday, April 22 from 1:30PM to 3:30PM
Ecovision’s Friends of the Greenhouse
The Lacombe Composite High School’s Ecovision club will be hosting a beekeeping workshop next week. The course will help you earn a beekeeping certificate which means you can have 2 hives on your property in Lacombe.
April 26th from 5:30 to 8:30PM
Cost: $75 for new participants and $50 for returning participants
Sylvan Lake Planting Party
Sylvan Lake will be hosting a BYOC (Bring Your Own Container) planting party at the Centennial Street Pocket Park. The Town is looking forward to celebrating the planet and reflecting on our ecological footprints.
Tracey Klettl with the Painted Warriors will also be on site to share her knowledge on the importance of local plants to the Indigenous community and Turtle Island.
