The Blackfalds Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) is inviting families to take part in their Family Easter Event this weekend.

“Our younger kids are going to get a real big kick out of seeing the Easter Bunny and doing some coloring. Then our older kids are going to get a real kick out of some of the activities that we have planned,” said Jan Pocock, Community Engagement Programmer for the Blackfalds FCSS.

Families will have the opportunity to take part in several activities and grab a bite to eat in support of Lacombe and District Big Brothers Big Sisters. Kids will have the opportunity to check out several stations of activities.

“There's different stations that are being held by our partnering organizations.  Families and children who go to each station, participate in the activity, get a little stamp on their passport until they do all eight of the activities,” explained Pocock.

Pocock is very thankful to the local community for supporting the Easter event.

“We are so lucky to have such a great community support here in Blackfalds. We have lots of different organizations and businesses who support this family Easter event,” said Pocock.

The event will be happening on Saturday, April 1, Community Centre in Blackfalds (4810 Womacks Road) from 12PM to 2PM.
