Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada researchers in Lacombe are looking for producers with wheat, canola and pea fields that have some large weed patches to trial the Harrington Seed Destructor on.

Farmers willing to participate would harvest around that patch of the crop and the project team would come in with their own combine and the Harrington Seed Destructor to test the efficacy of the machine on that weed patch.

You would keep any grain from the trial; they are just working to kill the weeds.

Researchers would need access to the field again in the spring to count emerging weeds and they are hoping to work with these producers over the next couple of harvests.

They are looking for both swath and straight cut fields.
